The Commonwealth Lawyers Association is delighted to be returning to the southern hemisphere where the vibrant city of Melbourne will host the 20th Commonwealth Law Conference, 20-24 March, 2017, in association with the Law Institute of Victoria.
The theme of the 2017 conference, “Thriving in a global world: building on the rule of law” presents a unique canvass to consider legal issues in our globalised world that both innovate and challenge lawyers practising today.
The Commonwealth Law Conference is a truly unique event and in 2015 we welcomed delegates from a total of 56 countries across the globe. The conference sessions will focus on current trends in Corporate & Commercial law; the legal profession; the rule of law, and other contemporary legal topics. It is the ideal venue to meet and discuss with professional colleagues topics relevant to your professional area of interest.
A programme of innovative and truly unique educational, social, and networking events designed to ensure that all those who attend the conference will have an opportunity to conduct business, meet colleagues from different jurisdictions, exchange experiences, renew, and build friendships that will continue long after the conference closes.
During the conference we will announce the winner of the 3rd Commonwealth Rule for Law award in conjunction with LexisNexis and a range of exhibitors will provide further information and services of interest to legal professionals.
I encourage all our members, members of the profession and those with an interest in the rule of law to register for the 20th Commonwealth law conference in Melbourne which promises to be a truly memorable event.
See you all in Melbourne!
